About Thicket43

Thicket43 is a hand-kept web directory — a compositor's index of working websites, filed into 22 named sections and held in plain type without ranking or weighting. We list 832 sites across sections that run from motor trade and dental practices to commodity markets, printing houses and a broad miscellany shelf for everything else.

How a site gets filed

Every submission is read by a person before it goes to press. We check that the URL resolves, that the description is honest and that the site is not obviously abusive — malware, scams or spam. We do not grade by traffic, polish or commercial standing. A working site with a plain description earns its place in the galley; one that fails any of those checks does not.

Submission is free and always will be

The index is free to submit to and free to browse. There is no paid placement, no featured tier and no fee for keeping a listing. Thicket43 runs as a small, self-funded operation; the directory is the whole point, not a vehicle for something else.

Editorial line

We ask three things of every listed site: a working homepage, an honest description, and lawful operation in the site's own jurisdiction. We do not vet content beyond that threshold, and we do not offer endorsements. The directory is a filed list, not a rated guide — browsers should make their own assessments of the sites they visit.

Correcting or removing a listing

If a listing is stale, misfiled or no longer represents the site accurately, submit a note via the submission form with the URL and what you need changed. We handle corrections by hand and usually turn them around within a day or two. The compositing room is small but attentive.
